Please read this document carefully to understand our practices regarding your information and how we will treat it.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Welp mobile application and website (collectively, the 'Platform'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Welp Maldives Pvt Ltd.
2. User Accounts
To use certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account.
- Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
- Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and account details. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and enter into contracts with Service Professionals.
3. Service Requests and Quotes
Welp acts as a marketplace connecting Users with independent Service Professionals.
- Marketplace Role: Welp is an intermediary. We do not provide the home services directly. The contract for service is solely between you and the Service Professional.
- Quotes: Quotes provided by Professionals are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary if the scope of work changes.
- Acceptance: Once you accept a quote, a binding agreement is formed between you and the Professional.
4. Payments and Fees
We value transparency in all financial transactions.
- Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through our verified payment partners (including Bank of Maldives).
- Service Fees: Welp may charge a service fee for the use of the Platform, which will be clearly displayed before you confirm a booking.
- Cancellations: Cancellation policies vary by Professional and timing. Please review the specific terms displayed at the time of booking.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:
- Violating any local laws or regulations of the Maldives.
- Harassing, abusing, or harming another person, including Service Professionals.
- Using the Platform to distribute spam or malicious content.
- Attempting to bypass the Platform to pay Professionals directly to avoid service fees (disintermediation).
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Welp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the services or any conduct or content of any third party on the services.
